Biography

I am a theatre maker, a lover of tea and woolly socks. I am an award-winning designer and art director, usually making shows in strange places, the occasional short film, puppets, and generally telling stories in many different ways. I am based in London and an artist at Puppet Place in Bristol.

Upcoming & Current projects

Puppet Maker: A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong, Mischief Comedy (September – November 2025)

Set & Costume Designer: Those Who Trespass & The Permanent Way, Directors Richard Pepper & Angela Micheal (September – November 2025)

A life size, slightly dopey looking albatross puppet covered in grey and white paintings of sea motifs glows on top of Katy's shoulders. Katy is puppeteering Albie so he looms out of the dark sky, she is wearing a grey wool beared and sailors hat covered in lights - oddly her blonde fringe is still visible under the hat... Katy is knelt on one knee wearing light blue and white pinstripe trousers brown Dr Martens shoes and a navy blue knitted jumper. Katy and Albie are down at the ancient quayside in Topsham, Devon.
